Kirkus Quote for Beulah Farm Murders, the first of the jack grace mystery thrillers
Kirkus Reviews says, “A U.S. Army vet looks into a string of suspicious deaths surrounding a South Dakota ranch in O’Gannon’s thriller. This series opener features a sympathetic, believably flawed lead … O’Gannon writes concise, suspenseful scenes … Many characters are striking, from sneaky and unsavory types to other veterans, some of whom also have PTSD. An absorbing mystery with a layered, series worthy hero.” – Kirkus Reviews
What a thrilling ride! The author’s descriptive talents come to the fore as he develops believable characters and situations. The dialog is natural and ranges from the familiarly comical to the dangerous.
This was a very entertaining book. I was interested from the first page and it never slowed down, it held my interest all the way through. I loved the small town setting and the unexpected twists.
This book has great humor, easy to visualize characters, many interesting twist to the plot.
This book is slightly different from the usual book these days. Nobody wanting to be a super sleuth. Just "normal" people going to work and enjoying life. And they solve a bank robbery with an unexpected twist. A truly enjoyable read!
It was a "light, relaxing fair with a little drama making an appearance here and there". It was nice to read an adult book without the F word and explicit sex scenes.
A real page turner that effectively combines humor and suspense.
Fun great characters made me smile and reminded me of a couple of coworkers, who are cowboys or think they are, a perfect flight or raining day book.
Enjoyable, relaxing read. The story was interesting, a perfect blend of humor and mystery!
Don't know how Mitch makes it through all h ordeals, but love following them!
