Mystery Thrillers with humor
M O'GANNON
O'Gannon is enjoyably retired from forty years of banking and is living happily in Bozeman, Montana. Growing up on a small farm in South Dakota gave O'Gannon a background in agriculture that pops up in many of his books. After you have helped sheep lamb, cleaned the hog house and milked the cows, you start to see the humor in rural living. Thousands of previous banking customers provide a large portfolio of characters and situations to draw from. Forty-eight years of marriage and three children help with understanding emotional ups and downs that are part of each book.
O'Gannon is lousy at outlining a book - create the characters and the situation and see how it turns out. The characters do what they want after a certain point - O'Gannon just gives them a voice.
“There’s always a story. It’s all stories, really. The sun coming up every day is a story. Everything’s got a story in it. Change the story, change the world.” (A Hat Full of Sky) by Terry Pratchett
"After a day of hiking out of cell phone range - give me a cold beer, a great book and a campfire. That's living!" (M O'Gannon)
